At White Earth Behavioral Health, we understand the importance of mental health. Our Mental Health Program is a cornerstone of our services. We offer a wide range of counseling, therapy, and psychiatric services to support individuals and families dealing with mental health challenges. Our licensed professionals are dedicated to providing compassionate and effective care. • Medication Management (Telepsychiatry)
• Outpatient Individual and Group Psychotherapy (Provided in school, at home, clinic-based, telehealth, and/or in the community)
• Diagnostic Assessments
• Adult Rehabilitative Mental Health Services (ARMHS)
• Children’s Therapeutic Services and Supports (CTSS)
• Targeted Mental Health Case Management (Youth, Adolescent, and Adult)

Our focus is to provide community, outreach-based, outpatient therapeutic services to adults, children, and families. Services are based on individual, child, and family needs. Services are offered at varying levels of involvement, such as crisis intervention, individual and family counseling sessions, family and community support services and assessments.

The White Earth Mental Health Program is a voluntary community, school, and clinic-based agency providing:

• Excellence in healthcare by providing and promoting healthy living, honoring traditional healing practices, and restoring the balance of mind, body, and spirit.
• Utilizes traditional and cultural concepts while working with individuals and families to restore balance within their lives.

The White Earth Mental Health Program is designed to meet the mental health needs of White Earth Tribal members and their families who reside on, or near, the White Earth Reservation. Our program provides a comprehensive plan for therapy, education, medication-Traditional and Western, crisis intervention, and support. We strive to provide culturally appropriate services with the goals of increasing positive family interactions, and the ultimate goal of healthier lifestyles and positive communication for all members of the community.

• Psychotherapy is a planned, structured face-to-face treatment of a client’s mental illness. Services can be provided to adults, children and their families and are based on individual and family needs. Counseling can be provided for individuals, couples, families, and groups. Professionals use a variety of techniques from several theoretical points of view (e.g. psychoanalytical, rational-emotive, brief therapy, behavior therapy, cognitive-behavioral, etc.) in an effort to promote therapeutic growth.
• Psychotherapy is provided in order to accomplish measureable goals and objectives that are specified in the client’s individual treatment plan.

A holistic, wrap around approach to providing services to children eligible for mental health case management services and their families. Assistance is provided to help families bridge “two worlds” through a combination of education, support, and advocacy.

CTSS includes psychotherapy and skills training, which would consist of activities designed to promote skill development of both the child and the family. Teach and improve, age-appropriate daily living skills, interpersonal and family relationships skills and connections, leisure and family recreational services. The goal of CTSS is designed to facilitate the acquisition of psychosocial skills that are medically necessary to rehabilitate the child to an age-appropriate developmental trajectory heretofore disrupted by a psychiatric illness or to self-monitor, compensate for, cope with, counteract, or replace skills deficits or maladaptive skills acquired over the course of a psychiatric illness. In addition, to promote family preservation and unification, family integration into the community, and to reduce unnecessary out-of-home placement of the child.

ARMHS is a holistic, person-centered, support service that places the person at the center of all interventions. The goal is to restore each person’s ability for independent living, socialization, and effective life management. ARMHS instructs, teaches, assists, and supports a client in life skills and functioning areas such as medication, education, basic social and living skills, independent living skills, budgeting, mental illness symptoms management, household management, interpersonal and social skills, employment, and transition to community living.
