Position: Public Health License Practical Nurse (LPN) Open: 03-24-25
Location: White Earth Close: 04-04-25
Pay: $22.51/hr Benefits: Full Status: Full time
The White Earth Reservation Business Committee is currently seeking a qualified candidate who will be responsible for providing vital nursing services and health education to promote community wellness. This role involves administering immunizations, conducting health screenings, delivering preventative health education, contributing to community outreach initiatives and participating as a member of the interdisciplinary public health team which contributes to health improvement status of community members of the White Earth Reservation.
Position Outcomes:

Performs Delegated Direct Patient Care:
• Working under the supervision of Registered Nurses (RNs) and other healthcare professionals
• Performing health screenings, such as blood pressure checks and vital sign monitoring
• Assisting at Public Health Clinics
• Hearing and Vision Checks
• Administering immunizations
Administrative Tasks:
• Maintaining accurate patient record.
• Assisting with data collection and reporting
• Enrolling community members into the WECARE program
Community Outreach:
• Collaborating with other community organizations and agencies to promote community health programs
• Participating in Public Health events, campaigns and outreach programs
• Working with vulnerable populations, such as the elderly, children, and those with chronic illnesses.
Performs other duties and responsibilities as required or assigned.

• Proficient in electronic health record management
• Knowledge of and ability to follow and apply the policies and procedures of the White Earth Reservation Tribal Council, White Earth Home Health Agency, Nurse Practice Act, and State and Federal laws relating to scope of practice.
• Knowledge of the White Earth Reservation demographics, culture, history and lifestyles.
• Knowledge of and ability to follow Universal Precautions.
• Knowledge of and ability to adhere to HIPAA regulations.
• Ability and knowledge to utilize strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work cooperatively within a group to make the group successful, effective, and efficient.
• Skilled in the operation of a personal computer.

Qualifications:
• High School diploma or GED and current MN LPN License.
• Valid MN Driver’s License and insurance for travel between sites and other related businesses.
• Must be able to pass a Background and Drug screening.
• CPR or willing to obtain in 30 days of employment.
