Location: Oshki Manidoo Center, Bemidji, MN Close: Until filled
Pay: $41.57/Hr. DOQ, Negotiable Benefits: Full Status: Full Time
This position is responsible and accountability for the direction, development, implantation, and evaluation of patient care and provider-engagement services within the OMC Behavioral Health outpatient programs. Them OMC Nurse Supervisor will be responsible for supporting the oversight of all OMC outpatient medical programs, including the development of clinical policies and procedures, ensuring regulatory guidelines and standards are met, i=identifying opportunities for quality improvement for service delivery and outcomes, and ensuring compliance with Tribal, State and Federal regulations and with organizational polices and procedures. This position provides managerial oversite and clinical supervision to assigned medical staff.
Position Outcomes:
• Nursing supervision, nursing staffing, and staff development.
• Provides and coordinates patient health care services and executes prescribed medical treatments.
• Ensures adherence of clinical standards and protocols and assists clinical leadership in development of White Earth strategic expansion services.
• Overseeing patient care and care coordination.
• Provide outreach and education to community health agencies.
• Patient care and outcome management.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
• Knowledge of and ability to follow and apply policies and procedures of the White Earth Tribal Council, MAT, Nurse Practice Act, and State and Federal laws relating to scope of practice.
• Knowledge and ability to follow Universal Precautions.
• Knowledge of nursing process, skill in using a systemic approach to care that includes assessment, diagnoses, planning, intervention, consultation, and referral.
• Knowledge and skill in time management, problem solving, prioritizing, and crises intervention.
• Ability to effectively communicate with nursing staff, patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
• Ability to create positive, supportive, and productive work environments that foster team morality.
• Knowledge of culturally appropriate services.
• Skills in operation of a personal computer, including related software such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook). And electronic health records.
Qualifications:
• Current MN State Registered Nurse License.
• Public Health Nurse (PHN) certification preferred, or able to obtain within (18) months of hire.
• RN Nursing experience for at least (2) years working with patients with substance use disorder.
• Prior Experience in nursing management or a related leadership role.
• Must be over age 18, responsible, mature, healthy adult who is able to carry out the duties assigned.
• Must be free of chemical use problems for at least 2 years immediately preceding their hiring and must sign a statement attesting to that fact and freedom from chemical use problems must be maintained during employment.
• Must pass a Background and Drug Screening.
• Valid driver’s license and insurance for travel between sites and other business-related destinations.
