Pay: 26.23/hr. or DOQ Benefits: Full Status: Full Time
Position Summary:
This position will provide Children’s Therapeutic Services and Supports (CTSS), which consists of therapeutic and rehabilitative levels of intervention activities designed to promote skill development of both the child and the family of American Indians who reside on or near the White Earth Reservation.

  • Provide services to Emotional Disturbed (ED) and/or Severely Emotional Disturbed (SED) children/adolescents and their families, including social skills training, leisure and recreational activities, parent education, and school consultation.
  • Maintains all forms of documentation and reports to ensure records meet provider and third-party billing requirements.
  • Participates in individual and group supervision with MH Professional to ensure effectiveness of services and gain insight for treatment.
  • Promote family preservation and unification, and family’s integration with the community.
  • Provides crisis intervention as needed.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as required or assigned.
    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Knowledge of the demographics, culture, customs, and geography of the White Earth Reservation.
  • Knowledge of principles and methods for teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effects.
  • Knowledge of principals, methods, and procedures for promoting behavioral change regarding individual and community health.
  • Skilled in monitoring/assessing performance of yourself, other individuals, or organizations to make improvements or take corrective action.
  • Ability to apply rules and combine information to reach an appropriate conclusion to people and programs.
    Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in one the behavioral health sciences or related fields from an accredited college or university-Social work, psychology, counseling, or related field.
    Or:
  • A mental health practitioner is qualified through work experience if the person:
  • has at least 4,000 hours of supervised experience in the delivery of services to adults or children with:
  • mental illness, substance use disorder, or emotional disturbance; or
  • traumatic brain injury or developmental disabilities and completes training on mental illness, recovery from mental illness and substance abuse, and psychotropic medications and side effects.
  • Valid driver’s license and insurance for travel between sites and other business-related destinations.
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
