The White Earth Reservation Tribal council is seeking qualified candidates to provide organized recreational and social activities to support and encourage the development of reservation youth with the Boys & Girls Club in accordance with White Earth Tribal policies and procedures, standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern the Tribe.
Position out Comes:
- Provide direct supervision of youth on the reservation to ensure they have a well-rounded experience and developing environment.
- Create and implement Boys and Girls Club programs in assigned unit by working with and coordinating between Tribal and non-Tribal entities.
- Responsible for maintaining and managing daily operations of the assigned unit.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities required:
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing youth services to ensure quality programming, also to ensure high standards of service to youth and families participating in the Boys & Girls Club.
- Ability to instruct and work with youth in the following areas: arts & crafts, sports, games, camping, and hobbies.
- Knowledge of relevant equipment, procedures, and strategies to promote effective tribal operations for the protection of youth, data, property, and work sites.
- Ability to work cooperatively within a group to make the work of the group successful and effective.
- Knowledge of and ability to follow and apply the policies and procedures of the White Earth Tribal Council, and the Boys & Girls Club of America.
Qualifications include:
- High school diploma or GED and (6) months experience working with youth.
- Successfully pass criminal background check with no felony convictions within seven (7) years.
- Prefer Lifeguard certification; or ability to obtain within six (6) months of hire date.
- CPR and First Aid Certification or the ability to obtain within six (6) months of hire date.
