White Earth Nation

I, Steven “Punky” Clark, am the District 1 Representative of the White Earth Tribal Council. I have been married to Kathy (Goodwin) for twenty-five years. I have five children, four grandchildren and one great grandchild due in May. I Graduated from Mahnomen High School in 1972 and attended Bemidji State University for a short time in 1973. I have been a lifelong resident of the White Earth Reservation, growing up in Naytahwaush and finally making a home in Rice Lake for the past twenty-seven years. Starting out I was a carpenter for 30 plus years, house inspector for two years, and my latest job before being elected was a facilities supervisor for seven years. Throughout the years I have been involved in various boards and committees. I was the president on the Title VII Indian Education Committee, previous board member on the White Earth Reservation Boys & Girls club, past president on the Bagley Youth Hockey Association, and a foster parent.
